How long do lash extensions last?

Lash extensions remain visible for several weeks, depending on your skincare, skin type, sleeping habits and natural lash cycle. The set changes continuously as natural lashes shed and new ones grow. Many clients book a refill every two to three weeks to maintain an even look.

In practice, retention is not one fixed number on a calendar. A soft classic set may grow out differently from a dense volume set, and your daily routine also makes a difference.

What to consider

  • Avoid water, steam and rubbing during the initial aftercare period.
  • Clean your lashes regularly and gently.
  • Do not pull at extensions that have grown out.
  • Book your refill before the set becomes very sparse.

Sarah's advice in Graz

At a refill, Sarah looks at more than the lashes that are missing. Extensions that have grown out, twisted or moved too far along the natural lash are checked as well.

Extensions shedding gradually does not automatically mean the application was poor. Natural lash turnover is part of the process.
